We run the digital operations behind the modern winery.
Cellar door discoverability, AI visibility for wine search, email deliverability for newsletters and trade. Managed monthly on a fixed fee so the family running the place can focus on the wine.
What we see in winery audits
These are the four issues we find on most Australian winery sites, in order of revenue impact.
AI answer tools have nothing clear to read about you
Buyers planning a trip to Margaret River, Mornington, or Barossa now ask ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity which wineries to visit. What these tools can describe is decided by the structured data they can read, not by how good your wine is. On most wineries we audit, there is very little for them to read.
Cellar door enquiries land in spam
Tour operators, group bookings, wine writers, restaurant buyers, all email through the contact form or to info@. If your domain's SPF and DMARC are misconfigured, those enquiries silently vanish into spam folders. You never know which bookings you lost.
Wine-club emails get inconsistent delivery
The seasonal allocation email, the new-release announcement, the cellar door event invite. If a meaningful percentage of these land in members' Promotions tab or spam folder, allocation pickup drops and you blame the offer. The offer is usually fine; the deliverability is not.
The site was built for the launch, not maintained for the decade
Most winery sites we see were rebuilt around the time the family bought the place, then left to drift. Vintage notes, tasting note PDFs, staff bios, restaurant collaborations, and event announcements lag months behind reality. Search and AI both treat stale sites as low-value.
What you get when we manage your winery's digital operations
Outcomes that map to revenue, not features that map to invoices.
Easier for AI answer tools to understand your winery
We add structured-data markup, llms.txt, and the FAQ detail search engines and AI answer tools look for, so it is easier for them to understand what your winery offers, where you are and how to visit. We track monthly how clearly your winery is described and keep improving it. We do not promise rankings, leads or that any AI tool will recommend a particular business.
Email that reaches the inbox, not the spam folder
Proper SPF, DKIM, and DMARC on your domain so every cellar door enquiry, wine-club announcement, and trade order confirmation lands where it should. Continuous blocklist monitoring catches reputation drops before they cost you a release.
A site that stays current as the vintage rolls
Monthly content updates included: new vintage notes, tasting note PDFs, event listings, awards, restaurant collabs. The site stops looking like a museum and search engines stop down-ranking it for staleness.
Google Business Profile working hard for cellar door traffic
Hours, photos, current menu, posts about new releases and events. For a tourism business in a competitive region this is often the single highest-leverage thing we manage.
Who we work well with
Small to medium family wineries running their own cellar door, wine club, and direct-to-consumer business. From a 5,000 case boutique producer all the way to a 50,000 case mid-sized estate. We work with wineries anywhere in Australia (Margaret River, Mornington Peninsula, Barossa, Hunter, McLaren Vale, Tasmania, the list goes on); most of the work is remote.
If you have a large team running an in-house marketing operation already, you do not need us. If your website + email + Google Business Profile + AI visibility quietly sit on someone's plate as the seventh-priority task they never get to, we are exactly what you need.
Where to start
The cheapest, most honest starting point is the free health check. We scan your site, check your email deliverability, look at how clearly AI answer tools can read and describe your winery, and email you a report. No follow-up unless you ask for one.
